Formal Recruitment occurs during the Spring semester and is a structured form of recruitment. Interested women will need to register for formal recruitment prior to the kick-off date. All interested women will be placed in groups and given Rho Gammas (recruitment guides), who will guide the women during the recruitment process. Formal recruitment occurs in four different rounds and lasts for slightly more than a week. After each round, women in recruitment will be able to narrow the number of sororities they are interested in returning to in future rounds.

Meet your Rho Gamma and learn more about what will be happening in the following two weeks of recruitment.
Round One: House and Values Tours
Friday, February 3rd and Saturday, February 4th
There are 14 sororities participating in each round of recruitment. During round one, you will visit each of the 14 sororities for only 25 minutes at a time. These 14 parties will be spread over two days, so you will visit seven chapters the first day and seven chapters the second day. The purpose of this round of recruitment is to introduce you to all of the Panhellenic sororities in our Greek community, and show you their chapter house. You should dress casually and comfortably as you will be moving from one sorority to the next at a rather fast pace.
Sunday, February 5th
This round allows you to visit up to 10 sororities to learn about their philanthropy and other community service projects they participate in throughout the school year. At each of the parties you attend, you will work on an activity that pertains to that sorority’s specific philanthropy. At the completion of recruitment, the sororities will then donate the completed projects to their philanthropies. Not only does this round allow you to learn about the sororities in a fun way, but it also allows you to make a contribution to the community. For this round you will want to dress slightly nicer than round one. You may want to wear nicer jeans, a nicer shirt or sweater and nice shoes or low heels.
Friday, February 10th
During round three you may visit up to six sororities for 45 minutes each. The fun and entertaining atmosphere during this round of recruitment makes it a favorite for both potential new members and sorority women. At each of the parties you will get to see a skit performed by members of the sorority. You will be entertained by singing, dancing and other performances, which will give you a deeper look at the personalities of the women in the sorority as well as the sorority as a whole. Most women decide to dress up more for this round. Nice pants or a skirt and heels are common of both potential new members and sorority members.
Sunday, February 12th
Preference gives you the opportunity to visit up to three sororities for more than an hour each. This round of recruitment is the most special. Generally, you will be hosted by a member of the sorority whom you had already met and might have gotten along with especially well. This is the round you will want to dress the nicest for. A nice skirt or dress is appropriate to wear to Preference. You might also want to wear heels because you will only be visiting a maximum of three sororities.
Monday, February 13th
Bid Day is the last day of the recruitment period. This is the day that invitations to join sororities are extended. Your Rho Gamma will inform you of the time and place to meet and receive your invitation. After a small Bid Day celebration with your Rho Gamma and group, you will meet your new member class and sorority sisters. You will go to your new sorority house with your new member class where everyone will welcome you and there are usually activities planned for you to get acquainted with your new sisters.
Registration is $25. Follow the link above to register.
