Leadership

It is a goal of every PHA sorority to enrich and develop its members through leadership, and the Greek community at Maryland offers numerous leadership opportunities. Each individual sorority has their own executive board and there is also an executive board that presides over all fourteen PHA chapters. There are also other opportunities to get involved such as the Greek Judicial system, Homecoming and Greek Week, and Order of Omega (the Greek honor society). Outside of Greek life, Greek women also hold leadership positions on campus, in organizations such as Maryland Images, the Student Government Association, Omicron Delta Kappa and other honor societies, and the University Student Judiciary.

"Being a leader in my sorority has given me the confidence to express and act on my views in front of 100 other women, and to engage my sisters and the Greek community to create positive change"

   --Rachita Sood, Sigma Kappa

“Through my leadership as new member educator, I have been able to ensure the entire chapters involvement in educated new members in Theta history and sisterhood. It has helped my chapter by allowing younger members to trust in older members and learn from them.”

--Rosemary Lee, Kappa Alpha Theta
