At the University of Maryland, we are the only self-governing community. As such, we are responsible for holding ourselves to a higher standard in an effort to build a community based on the values and principles our organizations were developed upon. A member of the Greek Community is held accountable as an individual in a chapter, a peer in a fraternal community and a member of the campus community. We as a community build and enforce policies to recognize our shared mission as a community to prepare individuals for a responsible citizenship.
