Position Description: The PHA President provides the executive board with the resources and support necessary for them to fulfill their responsibilities. It is her job to work directly with the other councils and organizations on campus, as well as the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life staff, University Administration, and officials in the College Park community. She assists in programming events, coordinating activities, facilitating communication, and acting as a resource for the men and women of the Greek Community at the University of Maryland.

Position Description: The Vice President of Judicial Affairs serves as parliamentarian of all formal Judicial Hearings, including but not limited to submitting a notice of hearing, notice of sanctions, and facts memoranda. She also works with the IFC Chief Justice to select and train both the PHA and IFC Judicial Board so that they are prepared to serve as an unbiased third party in hearings. Finally, she is responsible for conducting New Member Educator training, as well as, meeting individually with each Chapter's standards chairs to monitor their internal programming.

Position Description: The Vice President of Community Affairs is responsible for several aspects of the PHA. First, she serves as head of the Homecoming and Greek Week committee to plan and organize various activities throughout the week. She also works closely with the IFC and the SGA to strengthen the relationship between the University and the City of College Park. In addition, she assists her cabinet in planning university clean-ups, intramural athletics, and educational programs for the 14 PHA chapters on campus. She also holds monthly meetings with the philanthropy chairs from each chapter and plans a variety of community service events for the PHA.

Position Description: The Vice President of Recruitment is responsible for overseeing the 14 PHA chapters’ recruitment efforts, both formal and informal. The VP Recruitment plans, promotes and facilitates all of the formal recruitment activities and assists chapters during informal recruitment. She must be very organized and willing to remain disaffiliated during their entire term, as they are to be an unbiased representative of all of PHA to PNM’s. She must also be very flexible, able to effectively lead a team, and manage her time effectively.

Position Description: The Vice President of Finance is responsible for the funds of the Panhellenic Association. She creates and maintains the annual budget as well as smaller project-specific budgets. This involves forecasting costs for the upcoming year and allocating funds to executive board members. She also performs bank account reconciliations on a continual basis to ensure accurate record of expenditures. In addition, the position involves paying bills, handling invoices, depositing checks at the bank, and approving and giving out grants.

Position Description: The Vice President of Academic Affairs oversees a committee of one academic/scholarship representative from each chapter, organizes and runs Scholarship banquets in the fall, promotes superior scholarship, makes each chapter aware of scholarships, sponsors scholarship awards presented yearly, and holds a chapter expectations presentation during which she outlines the requirements for Expectations and offers suggestions and advice for potential programming ideas. The Vice President of Academic Affairs also serves as a resource for any academic questions or ideas for individual chapters.

Position Description: The VP Social Responsibility is responsible for educating the community on issues surrounding alcohol, drugs, sexual assault, mental health, etc. She is also responsible for ensuring that all PHA chapters fulfill the requirements as outlined by the IFC/PHA Alcohol Management and Social Event Monitoring Policy. If a policy infraction occurs, the VP of Social Responsibility attends the judicial hearing to answer any questions about the policy and/or the violation. She works closely with the IFC VP Risk Management, with whom she trains social chairs, plans events, and recruits and trains students to become Social Event Monitors (SEMs).

Position Description: The VP Public Relations is responsible for all marketing and communications related to the Panhellenic Association. This includes marketing community events, developing strategies for increasing awareness of the PHA on campus, and creating promotional items such as T-shirts, pens, sweatshirts, etc. She oversees the PR Cabinet which is comprised of an Assistant VP, the Columns editor, and a Webmaster. Finally, she is responsible for approving all PR t-shirt designs from the chapters.

Position Description: The Vice President Administrative Affairs records and distributes the minutes of each Panhellenic Association meeting. She also keeps an up-to-date roll of the members of the Panhellenic Association, as well as copies of all contracts and all correspondence. She also acts as the administrator of all electronic groups for chapter presidents, delegates, chapter advisors, and the Executive Board. VP Administrative Affairs is also in charge of Membership Development, including but not limited to planning leadership retreats and leading the Junior Panhellenic Program. Lastly, the VP Administrative Affairs must organize and plan all Panhellenic-sponsored programming.
